For the 4th we had several friends and their families over to celebrate the holiday with us. We had a total of 18 people over. My friend Vonda was over with her hubby, kids and parents. Being in Lovington I have seen so many people that I use to know, one is another great friend from highschool, We were always in trouble together, actually she was the good one. Can you believe that one? Me bad? I am so excited we have gotten to get to know each other again, she has a 12 year old little girl Hannah, and is expecting her second child in November. She is a great friend and I will be sad when we have to move to a new job.

It was time to eat!! Yummm!!!

Fun in the Sun!!

Summer time in Lovington has been a lot more fun then I expected! Its a really small town that doesn't have much to do. We had my nephew Derrick for a few weeks. Watching Trae, Jescelin, and Derrick it reminded me of the summers here in Lovington growing up. It was like a flash back with the fun I use to have with my brothers growing up. We played in the water and stayed outside the whole time!

Carlsbad

On our way out of El Paso, we got to visit some very special people, my cousin, and very best friend in the whole world died several years ago, and we got to visit with her kids, They live in Carlsbad NM. They have grown so much, and are so much like their mom in so may ways. It was just a total blessing to be able to see them again. Jericka is 12 and was only 6 the last time we saw her, when her mom passed away. Morgan is 10 and was only 4 when we last saw her. We have got to speak on the phone through the years, but never had the opportunity to visit them. We tried to cram alot of fun in a small amount of fun.

We first went to Brantley Lake

It was still a little cold and very windy.

Jescelin is not an outside girl, she was ready to leave.

On our way leaving Brantley Lake, the girls told us about a place by they called

the Shoots! They get on a raft or tube and let the water shoot them under the road!!

It was far too freaky for me to try to attempt!!

Of course on this day the water was not flowing fast as usual!

We then went to the Living Dessert State Park

But unfortunatly my camera was left in the car.

Morgan is very flexable, I wish I could bend back and put my face on the ground

WOW!! It has been a crazy February!! We finally had a break! So I took the kids swimming, it was really nice (for me anyways) We were the only people there!!!

Trae was attempting to run and jump and land in the floaty!! But he missed!! haha

I think they were hiding from each other!! Who knows with them!!

I love this picture!! Traes face is priceless!! Every time I see it!! I can't help but laugh!!! He is my prankster!!

Our Fun Field Trip

The kids have been bugging me forever to do a Field Trip!

So I decided to take them to the Outlet Mall!

Trae was not excited at all!

The shops were very nice

Jescelin and I really enjoyed hitting all the lovely sales.

We made Trae carry all the bags!!!

Trae was ready to eat and go home!

He said he would rather do homework.

I don't believe him!!!

There were not alot of people there! The weather was nice!

Trae was finally excited! He got to eat!!!

All that shopping make a girl hungry

You leave for 5 min to go to the bathroom, and they get a hold of a camera!

Who knows what they will do next!

I guess they like to play with their food!

My Little Home

A typical day at my little house!

We get up and play for a while!

Pick up and straighten up!

Along comes 8:00 am the kids get started on their school work.

They are doing so wonderful!

Jescelin is reading her bible verse!

Trae is working on his creative writing.

I caught them actually working!

I left the room and they continued to work!

I was totally amazed!

OK I know it has been a VERY long time! I am going to do better from now on! Yeah right! That sounds like my kids!

Trae and Jescelin were excited to be going to Papa and Nana Linda's house for a wonderful Christmas!! And to open some fabulous presents

This is my big Christmas present! It was to big to fit under the tree! So NO MORE Crappy VAN!!! I was proud of my Excursion. Larry did good.

This was Larry's Christmas present! It was also to big to go under the tree! He said he had to have it! And he justified it in buying the kids a 4wheeler each.

Trae was overly excited about his present he actually kissed the whole thing! I asked him why he would kiss a ATV but he wouldn't kiss his mom. He didn't have an answer! Oh well !!

And of course you could guess who this belongs to. She was excited but not like her brother! What is it with boys and their toys?

Trae's Class Field Trip

Trae's class was invited to participate on a "dig" for fossils. He went about 150 miles to a lake around Big Piney. They found a few fossil fish and go to analyize rocks around the lake. But his favorite part of it was the Stop in Farson at the ice cream place, they have the largest cones, and of course he had to have it completely full of Cookies and cream ice cream. Here are some pictures he took of the pretty views.

All he was thinking about was that giant icecream cone!

Wyoming

Life in Wyoming started out to be a little over welming. Several things went crazy on our journ ey here! The biggest thing that still sticks in my mind is being rear ended on I-70 going 75-80 mph. Everyone was fine! After getting everything back to normal after a big move. We started looking at all the pretty thing Wyoming has to offer. Below is a few scenic photos we took on our way.
